    How to make sure JAUKUS is a success

    The recent visit by Fumio Kishida, Japan’s prime minister, to the US has reignited the discussions on how Japan can co-operate with AUKUS.

    The first thing to say about any so-called “JAUKUS” arrangement – the collaboration between Japan and the AUKUS partner countries on advanced military capabilities – is that the name must change.
