Rich Listers Andrew Roberts and Tim Gurner are in talks that could decide this month to merge their privately owned construction and development businesses into one company that, like ASX-listed firms Mirvac and Lendlease, can sell, design, procure and build in-house.

A combination of Roberts Co, the commercial builder Mr Roberts co-founded in 2016 and of which he took full ownership in 2021, with Mr Gurner’s eponymous residential developer and aspiring fund manager could effectively tap the fast-growing build-to-rent market, industry sources said.
