    It was a tale of two pictures at Bonhams auction room in Sydney on Tuesday night, as impressive works by famous Australian artists lived up to their titles – one of them bolting out of the blocks as the other slowly sank.

    John Brack’s The Racecourse Stand, 1956, was estimated by Bonhams to bring in a hammer price of $30,000 to $50,000.
