    AFR readers divided on whether Philip Lowe should lead the RBA

    Readers of The Australian Financial Review are divided on whether Philip Lowe is the right person to lead the Reserve Bank of Australia, but have expressed support for the creation of a specialist monetary policy board.

    With the RBA poised to undergo a dramatic shake-up following the release last month of a sweeping independent review, the poll of 394 Financial Review readers found 37 per cent of respondents thought Dr Lowe was not the best person to steer the organisation through a period of renewal, compared with 36 per cent who said he was.
