    The NSW Minns government and developers are at loggerheads over new infrastructure contributions due to start this year, with the property industry arguing that dumping the proposed levies will clear the way for an extra 50,000 homes to be built in Sydney’s west over the next five years.

    The impact of two imposts – the housing productivity contribution and the Sydney Water development servicing plan – on housing development in the state was analysed by the Property Council of Australia and commercial agency Savills.
