It was the flurry of high-profile donations from corporate Australia to the Voice referendum Yes campaign that spurred a relatively unknown retired Perth businessman to give $1 million to the No camp.

Former car dealer and engineering business owner Brian Anderson waited until he was 95 to make his first political donation.
