    Diversified industrial Hancock & Gore Ltd yesterday predicted another record result for the current financial year provided economic conditions did not deteriorate after posting a 16 per cent higher net profit for the 12 months to September.

    The chief executive, Mr Kevin Eley, also signalled the group would use its modestly geared balance sheet to expand its interests in optical retailing and listed companies Environmental Recovery Services Ltd and Sabre Group Ltd.
