    Teal independents vying to claim their first NSW seats in the upcoming state election are leading a cash splash in online advertising as they replicate parts of a federal campaign that used social media ads early on to turn former safe seats teal.

    Just six weeks out from the NSW state election, independents including Jacqui Scruby in Pittwater and Helen Conway in North Shore are leading the online spending on Facebook and Instagram on a per-seat basis, spending four times as much as the closest major party has spent on a single seat.
