Victoria gives apartment owners longer to make cladding claims

Victoria will give apartment owners an extra two years to launch claims against builders that installed combustible cladding on their buildings.
This extension from 10 to 12 years in The Cladding Safety Victoria Bill will give the state government, which last year passed separate legislation to allow it to pursue builders on behalf of owners, more time to claw back funds over the installation of non-compliant panels on buildings.
