Biden warns Xi on Pacific partners, trade and Middle East

Washington | US President Joe Biden has warned his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, about aggression in the Pacific and unfair trade practices, and asked him to use his leverage to take some of the heat out of conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.
In their first one-on-one communication since a meeting in San Francisco late last year, the two superpower leaders spoke by phone for nearly two hours on Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT) about Taiwan and military safeguards, as well as artificial intelligence and a reduction in the narcotics trade.
