Solar pioneer raises $51m to make the sun shine after dark

The world’s biggest oilfield services company, SLB, has led a $51 million fundraising round for the privately held Australian company that uses giant mirrors and water reservoirs to make solar power available after dark.
Raygen Resources has issued $30.8 million of new shares to SLB – once Schlumberger – and $20 million of shares to Breakthrough Victoria, the state-funded venture capital firm.
