    A major problem with the blast furnace at Sanjeev Gupta’s crippled Whyalla steelworks is worse than expected, pushing out the resumption of production for weeks.

    The steelworks, once owned by BHP and rescued out of the collapsed Arrium business by the British businessman, has been unable to produce steel for two months because of problems with the furnace first detected in mid-March.
