Mathieson Group says Endeavour chairman’s days are numbered

The head of billionaire Bruce Mathieson’s investment group has warned that Endeavour chairman Peter Hearl’s days are numbered, as tensions between the Dan Murphy’s owner and its key shareholder remain unresolved after a bitter proxy fight.

In the weeks leading up to the Endeavour AGM on October 31, an acrimonious battle played out between the company and Mr Mathieson, who controls 15 per cent of Endeavour and wants it to lift returns and sales.
