    Newly elected federal MP Dai Le has shared her journey to parliament after arriving in Australia as a refugee of the Vietnam War.

    Ms Le made history at the May election when she beat Labor’s candidate, former senator Kristina Keneally, to win the south-western Sydney seat of Fowler. The seat had previously always been held by Labor.
