Investment banker and philanthropist Simon Mordant and his wife, art collector Catriona, have listed their Clareville waterfront escape with a guide of $15 million to $16 million. If achieved, the price would set a new high for the exclusive enclave on Sydney’s northern beaches.

The Clareville record currently stands at the $14.6 million paid by co-owners of COVID-19 testing pathology outfit Histopath, Dr Stephen Mann and his wife Dr Elizabeth Mann. The Manns bought the Hudson Parade waterfront from vendor Alexandra Clausen – the Swiss-based wife of tech entrepreneur Simon Clausen – in February.
