Menzies Indigenous collection goes for knockdown prices

The second tranche of artworks from the estate of the late auctioneer and businessman Rod Menzies had the same “get it done” atmosphere as the first one held last year, with many works going nowhere near what they once fetched.

The cover lot of the Rod Menzies Estate Indigenous Art Collection Part II, conducted by Cooee Art Leven in Sydney on Tuesday night was a case in point.
