Treasurer was all talk, no action on inflation

The government is responsible for more than a quarter of all dollars spent in the economy. But Thursday’s economic statement offered not a jot to reduce inflationary pressures.

There was a telling moment in Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s interview on the ABC’s 7.30 show last week when he mistakenly referred to the present opposition as the government, before promptly correcting himself.
