    Vegetarians are 39 per cent less likely to contract COVID-19 than omnivores, according to Brazilian research published in the British Medical Journal of Nutrition, Prevention & Health.

    University of San Paulo medical researchers were unable to show a direct cause for the lower incidence of COVID-19 but said it was “plausible” the immune-boosting nutrients and chemicals in plant-based diets could be acting as an antiviral agent.
